Tournament Structure
Autonomy will consist of eight teams of four competitors, for a total of 32 participants. Should registrations exceed 32 players, a Preliminary Round will be held to determine the final field. Any participant seeded below the top 32 following the preliminary stage will be eliminated from the tournament.
Teams will be assembled based on tournament seeding. The top eight seeded players will each serve as the foundation of their own team. The next highest-seeded competitors will then be distributed among these teams in reverse-seeding order to ensure competitive balance.
For example, the 16th seed will be assigned to the 1st seed's team, the 15th seed will be assigned to the 2nd seed's team, and so forth. This process will continue until all teams have been finalized.

Preliminary Phase
All registered participants will have the opportunity to determine their tournament seeding through a 3 to 5-day Free-For-All (FFA) Preliminary Phase. During this period, players may compete in as many matches as they wish against any eligible opponent. There will be no limit on participation, allowing competitors ample opportunity to improve their standing before the conclusion of the phase.
Once the preliminary period has ended, all participants will be ranked according to their performance and seeded accordingly. Teams will then be formed based on these final seedings.
Should the number of registered participants exceed the tournament's 32-player capacity, the Preliminary Phase will also serve as the qualification stage. Only the top 32 seeded competitors will advance to the main event, while those seeded below the cutoff will be eliminated from the tournament.
Every match matters. Whether competing for a higher seed, a stronger team position, or simply a place in the tournament itself, participants are encouraged to make the most of every opportunity before the deadline expires.

Knockout Stage
Following the Preliminary Phase, the 32 qualified competitors will advance to the Knockout Stage and compete alongside their assigned teams. Each team will be paired against another through a randomized draw, with every matchup being contested in a Classic-style team battle.
This phase serves as a single-elimination round, with only four teams advancing to the next stage of the tournament. As every competitor may participate in only one match during this round, each individual battle carries significant importance and may ultimately determine the fate of an entire team.
In the event of a tie, each team will nominate one representative to compete in a decisive Best-of-Five tiebreaker match. The winner of this match will secure advancement for their team.
The Knockout Stage will remain open for seven days, during which all scheduled matches must be completed. At the conclusion of the round, only four teams will remain in contention for the inaugural Autonomy Championship.

Round 2:
With only four teams remaining, the tournament enters its penultimate stage. The surviving teams will be divided into two groups and compete in a Free-For-All Last Man Standing format to determine their final rankings heading into the championship round.
Following the completion of all matches, teams will be seeded based on overall performance. The two highest-performing teams will be placed on opposite sides of the bracket, while the remaining two teams will be assigned their positions through a random draw.
Standings will be determined primarily by set wins. In the event of a tie, individual match wins will serve as the first tiebreaker. Should two teams remain tied after both criteria have been applied, each team will nominate one representative to compete in a deciding match. The outcome of this match will determine the final seeding positions.
This phase is designed to reward consistency, resilience, and team performance as competitors battle for the opportunity to reach the Autonomy Grand Finals. Only those who can endure the chaos of the Last Man Standing format will earn the right to compete for the championship.

Round 3:
After surviving every challenge and outlasting the competition, the final two teams will advance to be the last team standing.
This round will be contested in a Last Man Standing format, where every player and every decision carries enormous weight. Teams will battle until only one remains, with each victory bringing them closer to immortality and each defeat pushing them closer to elimination.

Champion's Stage
While teamwork and collective success are essential throughout Autonomy, only one competitor can ultimately claim the title of Autonomy Champion.
Once a single team remains, the tournament will transition into its final phase: an individual player-versus-player bracket featuring the members of the championship team. At this stage, alliances will be set aside as teammates become rivals in the pursuit of individual glory.
Seeding for this final bracket will be determined by each player's performance throughout the tournament. Factors such as overall contributions, match results, and success across each stage of competition will be used to establish the rankings and determine opening matchups.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Championship Match
After enduring every stage of Autonomy, only two competitors will remain.
These finalists will face one another in the Championship Match, where the title of Autonomy Champion will be decided. Every challenge, every victory, and every obstacle throughout the tournament will have led to this final showdown.
With no teammates left to rely on and no second chances remaining, both competitors must stand on their own merit. Only one player will emerge victorious, claiming the championship and cementing their legacy as the inaugural Autonomy Champion. |
