Affliction can now be blocked?

Quick question, I'm not sure how long it's been, but I've just noticed something in my last game. I'm team testing, and I'm using Mizukage (s), and I had her prison lava wall in effect, which deals 5 affliction damage over 2 turns. It drops Konan down to 5 health, and the person I'm playing against blocks and she doesn't take any damage. So my question now, you can block affliction damage that's already in effect? Also, his team was Kankuro (s), Konan, and Minato. I already eliminated Kankuro

Prison Lava Wall is an Action-class skill, which requires that the user be able to target the enemies each turn. If you become invulnerable, it stops Mizukage from targeting you, so Prison Lava Wall doesn't take effect for this turn.
