Attention all participants! As we kick off the first round this evening/morning, please follow these procedures to ensure your scores are tracked correctly:

Communication & Matchmaking
Use the #match-making channel: All coordination for your matches must take place here. Here you can search for people available and any conversing about the event.

Transparency: Keeping match discussions public helps staff track activity and resolve any scheduling, issues quickly.

Reporting Results
Use the #match-results channel: Once your match is finished, post the final score there immediately.

Verification: Both players should confirm the result in the thread.

Scoring & Team Bonus
Your individual score determines your advancement, so every game counts:
3-0 Win: 5 points
3-1 Win: 3 points
3-2 Win: 1 point
0-2 Comeback Bonus: +3 points
Team Sweep Bonus (+1): This bonus is awarded only if your team successfully defeats all 3 members of another team in a round.

Tournament Update: Phase 2 – The Endurance Scrimmage
Round 1 has concluded, and the field has been narrowed. We are moving into a more rigorous phase of the competition where strategic depth and versatility will be the only way to survive. The leaderboard is now locked, and the following regulations are in effect for Round 2.

I. Match & Scoring System
Match Format: All matches are Best of Five (Bo5). The first team to win three games wins the set.
Scoring System:
3-0 Win: 5 Points
3-1 Win: 2 Points
3-2 Win: 1 Point

Win Streak Bonus: 3 consecutive 3-0 victories will grant 1 additional life.
Bounty List: Defeating a top performer (Rank 1-8) from the previous round grants additional points:
3-0 Victory: +2 Bonus Points

3-1 Victory: +1 Bonus Point

Life System: All participants start with 5 Lives. Losing a Bo5 set results in the loss of 1 Life.

Life Insurance: The first time a Top 8 performer (from the previous round) loses all 5 lives, they are granted 1 "Ghost Life" to continue competing until the end of the phase. Losing all available lives prevents you from competing further in the current round.

II. Team Composition & Dynamics
Character Usage Limit: You can only use a specific character once per Best of Five set. Once a character has been used in a game, they are locked out for the remainder of that matchup.
Character Lock: Using two characters in the same team that an opponent has used in a prior match within the same set is prohibited.

Forced Selection: For each matchup, the opponent gets to choose one character that their opponent must use for at least one game within the Bo5 set.

III. Forbidden Strategies
To ensure fair play and active matches, the following strategies are strictly prohibited:
Full Chakra Drain: Draining or removing opponents of chakra. Using two drain characters on one team is considered a full team and is prohibited. Conditional drains also count toward this limit.

Full Stun: Preventing opponents from taking any turns. Conditional stuns or "S" stuns count as a full stun team. (Example characters: Hanabi, Young Kakashi, Karin, Fukasaku & Shima (S), Mangetsu, Edo Tayuya (S)).

Full Counter: Relying entirely on reactive, non-offensive play. Note: Characters that reflect or copy enemy skills will not be recognized as a full team (Example: Uchiha, Shisui (S), Zetsu (S), etc.).

Full AOE: Harmful skills intended to target an entire team.

Full Heal: Teams that intentionally heal themselves or allies. Characters that steal health are classified as healers and will count toward full heal teams.

Full Affliction: Teams that do damage primarily through affliction.

IV. Conduct & Technical Rules
Official Communication: All coordination and support will be conducted through the Official Tournament Discord.

Inquiries: Any questions regarding the tournament should be directed to the designated Discord channels or asked within this thread.

Competitive Integrity: Discussing or "leaking" an opponent’s team compositions is strictly forbidden.

Technical Issues: Staff has sole discretion regarding rematches. All bugs must be reported with a screenshot in the #bugs-and-glitches Discord channel.

Elimination Schedule:
Round 2: A total of 11 participants will be eliminated at the conclusion of this round.
Round 3: A total of 8 participants will be eliminated, leaving the final 8 for the Playoffs.

Account & Screen Sharing: The use of account sharing or screen sharing is strictly prohibited. Violation results in an immediate DQ and ban.
